As a somewhat beginner to crochet, this pattern was relatively easy to follow and work with. The pattern is also easy to modify. I have now started my third HERALD hood, because it's also fun to make :)
Made one for myself and also modified the sizing a bit so my son could have one as a poncho, totally in love with it. Easy to follow and so much fun to make 🤗
The pattern was easy to follow and the photos of the process that were included were very helpful! The end result is very pretty!
This pattern was so fun to make and I absolutely love the end result! It was hard to wait for my yarn to arrive because I was so excited to make this. I got the written pattern only and had no issues following along. I would say if you’re a more beginner crocheter, the video would probably be more helpful to you, but as someone who is an experienced crocheter, I was comfortable with the written only.
The written pdf is not a complete pattern. There are no instructions beyond first quarter of rounds, on increases beyond row 2 or joining rounds and you have to infer a whole lot from the photos of end results and experience.
Not a complete pattern and thus not possible to follow if you are in any sense a beginner. Very disappointed.
Video may be better, but as that's a separate product I can't say.

Good and easy pattern. I would recommend buying also the video and not just the written pattern if you're not used to following patterns or are new to crocheting, since the video explains the pattern more thorough than the written one.
